Surveying / Mapping

Our drones and software can provide high resolution orthomosaics and topographic surveys for a wide range of applications including civil engineering, construction, agriculture and Land Registry boundary verification.

We can provide up-to-date and more detailed imagery than is available from satellite sources and can complement traditional ground-based surveying and mapping techniques leading to significant and impressive time savings on the ground.

Drones can collect land survey data quickly, efficiently and safely.

Data collection for a large survey that would normally take a team of surveyors several days to complete, can be completed by drone in a fraction of the time, with increased data quality and produce a variety of detailed outputs.

The practice of using drones for land surveys & mapping can compliment traditional methods of surveying.

We are not intending to replace a qualify surveyor. Drones are a useful tool to assist a surveyor in collecting accurate data for their land survey, helping surveyors be more productive with their time.

We can generate a an ortho-rectified detailed map of the ground, from which drawings can be produced.

Accurate data points and surfaces can be for import into CAD software for further survey or model generation.

Detailed contour lines can be generated at required intervals, for ingestion into CAD or the creation of a map.

Drones coupled with the correct skill set and software, can be used to capture high resolution imagery and data of a site, to sub centimetre accuracy, quicker than traditional methods with more detailed outputs.

The drone is used to collect multiple overlapped images, from which data points are extracted to create point clouds and 3d models.

These flights are easily repeatable for a long running project and proving very useful in town planning & heritage.

Data captured by a drone survey removes human error, increases the quality of data and produces several outputs depending on your requirements.

Outputs

We will work with you to understand the level of accuracy required from your project and which outputs you want to work with. Data will then be captured an processed.

Depending on requirements, there are varying levels of accuracy which affects how the images and data are captured. Once data is processed, outputs are available for most popular CAD / BIM packages so you can import the data and make use of it within your project.
